Vernon Lee Long's Obituary
Vernon Lee Long, 88 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home in Tulsa. He was born March 25, 1933 in Maize, Kansas to his parents, James Webster Long and Blanche Price Lauah Long. He married the love of his life, Margaret "Ann" Ritchie on April 2, 1952 in Reno, Nevada and they have shared in over 69 wonderful years together building beautiful memories.
Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Ann Long of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sons, Ed Long of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mark S. Long of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Matthew T. Long of Colorado, Paul J. Long and his wife, Morgan of Kansas City, Missouri and Garrett E. Long and his wife Gayle of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two great-grandsons, Lucas Long and Joey Long, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel with honors by the United States Navy.
