Vickie Lynn Burkett's Obituary
Vickie Burkett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 4th, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born in San Diego, California, on February 15th, 1953 to Jimmie and Lucille Head, Vickie came into the world with a bright spirit and a joyful heart—qualities she carried with her throughout her life.
Vickie married the love of her life, Kenneth Burkett, on June 4, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada. From the moment their paths crossed, she often spoke of Kenny as her “knight in shining armor”—her cornerstone, protector, and pillar. Their love was deep, loyal, and filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion.
Vickie loved life wholeheartedly. She found joy in simple pleasures and shared that joy generously with others. She adored movies, cherished her sons and daughter, and had an immeasurable love for her pets and her family. Known fondly as the Queen of Fun, Vickie brought energy and positivity into every room she entered. Her spirit lifted others, and she had an unmatched talent for making people feel special.
As a grandmother, she treasured her grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments. She was always eager to celebrate every milestone, big or small.
Vickie loved to shop—especially when she could buy gifts for others. She delighted in giving, whether it was a thoughtful present, a heartfelt smile, or a warm word of encouragement. She was also a great lover of Chinese food and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good meal surrounded by the people she loved.
Faith was an essential part of Vickie’s life. She believed deeply in Jesus, and her strong faith carried her through both joys and challenges. She lived with grace, gratitude, and trust in God’s promises.
