It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vickie Lynn Fisher, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend to many. On July 21, 2023, Vickie peacefully left this world to join her eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born on April 17, 1949, Vickie was a woman of warmth and compassion, and her gentle spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a dedicated and loving housewife, she made her family's home a place of comfort, warmth, and joy. Her nurturing presence created a haven for her loved ones, where they always felt safe and supported.
Vickie had a variety of interests that brought her immense joy throughout her life. She had a passion for bowling, spending countless hours at the lanes with friends and family, delighting in the camaraderie and friendly competition. Her skill with a needle and thread was evident in her intricate and beautiful needlepoint creations, each a testament to her creativity and patience.
A brilliant mind, Vickie loved to challenge herself with crosswords, the allure of solving the most perplexing puzzles never failing to captivate her. Her tenacity and determination in solving them were a reflection of her strong will and desire to conquer any obstacle in her path.
Beyond her hobbies, Vickie had a life-long love for video games, a pursuit that bridged the generations. The adventures of Mario and Donkey Kong held a special place in her heart, sparking a spark of joy and excitement as she embarked on virtual journeys through their colorful worlds. Her enthusiasm for gaming served as a reminder that age was no barrier to embracing the wonders of technology and imagination.
Vickie's kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and she never hesitated to extend a helping hand to those in need. Her friendship was a treasure to those fortunate enough to be welcomed into her life, and she had an uncanny ability to make others feel valued and loved.
She leaves behind her loving husband Donald P. Fisher; her children Gary Wilks Jr, Stacy Durham, Whitney and Lloyd McPherson, and Pam and Marty Fodor; her grandkids Samantha Wilks, Rebekah Wilks, Eddie Durham, Kyley Durham, Isaiah Durham, Conner Taylor, Colton Taylor, Aaron, Lauren, and Hunter; and great grand kids Ivy, Xio, Kam, Lailu, and Aaron J; along with a host of other family and friends that will forever miss her.
May she rest in eternal peace, forever surrounded by the love and happiness she shared so generously during her time with us.
