Vicky Lynn Carter's Obituary
Vicky Lynn Carter, 53, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away April 22, 2021. Vicky was born February 10, 1968 in Wichita, Kansas to John and Nancy Opitz. She attended Labette County High School, and studied Applied Radiation Physics at KU Medical Center.
Vicky worked as a Radiation Therapist, and traveled the country doing contract work for Cancer Centers and eventually settled in Tulsa in 1996. She married Rick Carter on April 22, 1997 in Jamaica. She was forced to retire in 2004 due to complications from Lupus.
Vicky enjoyed numerous hobbies, including working in her garden, particularly the roses and orchids. She spent a lot of time with her pets, who will miss her greatly.
Vicky was preceded in passing by her father, John Opitz in 2019 and her mother, Nancy Opitz(Gossett) in 2020. She is survived by her husband, Rick Carter of Tulsa, OK; sister, Julie of Bixby, OK; niece, nephew, cousins and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
