Victor Leon Catlett, 70, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at 8:00 PM on February 27, 2025. Born on March 19, 1954, in Springfield, Illinois, Victor was the beloved son of Edwin and Joan Catlett. He was a man of deep patriotism and unwavering dedication, having proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Telecommunications specialist. His service to his country was just one reflection of the many ways he gave of himself throughout his life.
Victor married the love of his life, Marlis Catlett, on September 3, 1994, and together they built a life full of love and cherished memories. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Joan Catlett, his wife Marlis, and his daughter Trisha Catlett.
Victor's legacy lives on through his family, who will forever remember him as a loving and caring man, a great role model, and an unwavering source of support. He is survived by his son Michael Catlett and his wife Natalie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his son Mark Swanson and his wife Susan of Rome, Georgia; his son Michael Swanson and his wife Gwen of East Tawas, Michigan; his sister Pam Cline and husband Mike from OKC, OK and his grandchildren, Matthew Catlett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Alyssa Catlett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Aaden Catlett of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Jarrett Swanson of Rome, Georgia, Samuel Swanson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Bryce Catlett of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Victor was known for his selflessness, honesty, and his independent, wise nature. He was a best friend to anyone who met him, always loyal, organized, and supportive. A hero to his family, Victor’s love and guidance shaped those around him. His strength of character and his ability to put others first left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Victor will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the honor of crossing paths with such an extraordinary man.
