Drea Hickman lit a candle in memory of Victor Christopher Martinez

The loss of a young person is always the hardest because there is always that feeling they didn’t get to live their life, but our lives here on earth are merely a stepping stone to a better place. It’s the people left behind picking up the pieces that truly suffer and for that reason I’m so saddened for your family because you have to now walk this journey without VICTOR physically.Tracie you and Victor fought so hard. The strength of you both as a team was such an inspiration and will be in future children and parents of this terrible disease. It’s so incredible the wisdom Victor had in knowing everything he did and didn’t want to happen in his own care and maybe that’s something you can help other parents with in the future. Helping them listen to the wishes of their children as you did Victor. Our children are a direct reflection of us as parents and Victor got all his greatness from his parents. You and Victor will continue this fight against DIPG and even though he is not here physically he will be fighting and guiding you from beyond. I know you will make a huge impact in Victors name on this disease and help others walk through this disease with their heads held high and the strength you and Victor exhibited. I can’t wait to see how you both change this world and help find a cure for DIPG!Our family loves you and we thank you for all that you’ve done for our family and if you ever need anything we are here to help in whatever way we can. God bless and keep you not just this day but everyday for the rest of your lives!I am working and will try and make the funeral but if I can’t know I’m thinking about your entire family. Drue will be there to represent ours if we ALL can’t make it.THE JOHNSONS
