Victor Richard Schock's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Victor Richard Schock
Victor Richard Schock, 86, a loving father, papa, and great-grandpa passed peacefully in his home with his family by his side on March 30, 2024. Victor was born February 22nd, 1938 in Fredonia, North Dakota to Karoline Schock and Jacob Schock. He married the love of his life, Elisabeth Lindgren (Schock) in 1958. They were blessed with four children: Becky, Jon, Julie, and Susan.
Victor started working at Credit Counseling Center in 1970, after just a few years he became Chief Executive Officer where he stayed for the next 29 years. He took great pride in his work, and was well known for his work ethic and sacrifices he made daily for his employees and their families. He was able to help thousands of families reach financial freedom and loved the impact it made on their life. Victor was also honored to serve on the federal reserve board for multiple years. He retired in 1999 to enjoy time doing what he loved: traveling in his motor home, but mostly watching his grandkids compete in sports.
Victor was the ultimate sports fan. He loved sports more than anything, especially March Madness. He was a die hard Union Redskin fan and would always cheer on all the state schools whenever they played. Victor loved to socialize; he knew so many people and never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, papa, and great-grandpa. He was also an active member of Asbury Church since 1997, where he attended faithfully. Victor touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit. He will be forever missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
