Viola Ladean Starr's Obituary
Viola LaDean (Dean) Starr, age 86, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 18, 1931 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Thomas E. and Helen R. (Dudley) Julian. She is survived by her husband, Emmitt Starr, her children Gale Starr Edwards of Coweta, Sandra Starr McConnell of Broken Arrow, Emmitt and Karen Starr of Broken Arrow, Leta and Howard Webb of Oklahoma City, her brother Carol Julian of Broken Arrow, sister Marie Walker and her husband Harold of Tahlequah, granddaughter Michelle Briscoe, grandson Mickel McConnell and his wife Nichole of Rogers, AR, grandson Ryan Edwards and his wife Brandi Edwards of Mannford, granddaughter Farrah Seay and her husband Matthew of Mannford, Brandi Cook of Oklahoma City, Desiree Keomany and her husband P.K. of Broken Arrow, Brooke Moore of Oklahoma City, Stephanie McConnell of Broken Arrow, Jeffrey Moore of Oklahoma City and David McConnell of Broken Arrow. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She met the love of her life and married him on June 16, 1951. They were married 66 years. She was a loving caring godly woman who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Among her many joys were cooking, sewing, bowling and tending to her beautiful flowers. She had a passion for God and her family. Her life has touched many and she will be greatly missed by all. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
