Violet Mae Coppenger's Obituary
Violet M. Zerbey Coppenger was bom 5/27/33 in Pottsville, PA. Her mother was Viola Di Candia, and her father was Edward C. Zerbey. She was raised in McAdoo, PA
Two years after graduation she moved to Oklahoma with her sister Betty. She married Joseph J. (Bill) Coppenger, in 1952. They raised
their children in Tulsa.
Violet graduated from Hillcrest Nursing School, in 1976, and worked
at Hillcrest Hospital. She was a member of Grace church from 1978 until 2019 when she was no longer able to attend. She was preceded in death by her son David, her brothers Ted and Tom, her husband Bill and her sister Betty. She is survived by her daughter Connie, her son Joe, and their spouses, 7 granddaughters, 12 great grandchildren, and other in-laws, nieces and nephews.
