Violet Virginia Crain's Obituary
Violet Crain of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on October 13th, 2021, at the age of 88. Violet was born on February 24th, 1933 to Robert and Marie Harshfield. Violet worked as a hotel desk clerk most of her life for the Hampton Inn and there are many fond memories of her in her navy blue, white, and red uniform. Violet was a great basketball player and would love to tell you about Mabel Carter and her basketball memories. Later in life, Violet met the love of her life Doyle Crain, and they went on to get married. Doyle and Violet were prison missionaries, and they loved every minute of it. Violet would teach the prisoners about forgiveness. A few things Violet loved was sitting on her porch swing outside enjoying the sunshine, cooking for family especially her homemade dressing that was served at thanksgiving, and loving on her grandchildren. If you saw Violet out in about or even at home you would usually see her in slacks, a nice blouse, her hair in an updo, and you would never see her without her black leather purse.
Violet was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Marie and Robert Harshfield, her grandparents Harlow and Ida Harshfield, her son Joel Shannon Utley Jr.,and her infant son Billy Ray Utley , and her husband Doyle Crain.
Violet is survived by her son Robert Utley, her siblings Mary Jean, Russell, Charles Lee, and Jerry, Granddaughter Michelle Combs, Granddaughter Robyn Welsh and husband Jeremy, Grandson Joey Utley, Grandson Joshua Utley and wife Leslie, Granddaughter Cory Snelson and husband Jesse, Granddaughter Jennifer Wilhite and husband Jeffrey, Granddaughter Kimberly Garrison and husband Kevin, Granddaughter Kaylee Utley, and Great Grandchildren Bret, Kelsey, Grant, Jaxton, Brantley, Maxwell, Ellie, Benjamin, Jack, and James. Great Great Grandchildren Aizen,Paul.
