Virginia Elizabeth Baker's Obituary
Virginia Elizabeth Baker, age 92, passed away on September 30, 2015 in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Virginia was born on October 17, 1922 in Rockford, Illinois to her parents Oscar and Amanda Kraft. She received her general education from East High School of Rockford, Illinois. After her graduation, she began working as an assembly technician at Barker Coleman before later serving in the cafeteria at Oral Roberts University of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Virginia married Tony Baker on May 11, 1946 at First Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother who cherished her family. She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones and spending time out in her garden. Virginia is survived by her daughter Brenda Baker, her son Wayne Baker, her grandson Daniel (Amy) Williams, her grandson Tony (Melodi) Foster, her granddaughter Christina Massey, her nephew Dwight (Terry) Johnson, her great grandson Cash Foster, and her great granddaughter Addison Williams. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 12 pm to 8 pm with family to greet from 4 pm to 6 pm. Services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Veterans Field of Honor Phase II of Floral Haven Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm. Donations can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
