Virginia Lee Cook's Obituary
Virginia Lee Cook, age 95, passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 15, 2015. Virginia was born on February 9, 1920 in Altoona, Kansas to her parents Harry and Alice Hurlock. She was the fifth child of ten, and had a loving family relationship with her 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Virginia taught elementary school for most of her career, but also worked with newspaper in the classified as well as in hospital admissions. She married Robert G Cook on December 24, 1941. They shared many adventures together but their time in Iran during 1972 stood out. She taught English to a group of young cadets headed to the USA for military training. Virginia was a loyal and loving mother, grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and her friends. She is survived by her daughter Judy Rowsey, her two sons Randy Cook and Louis Jeffrey Cook, and her sister Beth Ann Baines. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on April 21, 2015 from 12 pm to 8 pm with family to greet from 6 pm to 8 pm. Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:00 am.
