Virginia Marlow, 96 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born March 14, 1922 in Stigler, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Mamon R. Beene and Fannie Edwards Beene.Virginia and Dwain had a very successful beauty salon for several decades. Virginia was thrilled that she continued to own the salon until she retired at age 85. Her customers were her family.Virginia was fortunate enough to enjoy the loving companionship of Donald Wilson in their later years until his passing a few years ago. She has been truly blessed by all the love of her extended family and her large number of friends. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Franciscan Villa for the loving care and attention she received as a resident there.Virginia is survived by her loving daughter, Shanna Marlow Wallis and husband Lee of Denver, Colorado; four grandsons, William, Jason, Justin, and John Scott all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two great-grandsons, Aiden and Ethan Scott of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Ava Scott of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Sherry Russell and husband Tom of Coweta, Oklahoma, Pat Russell of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Auda Carr of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mamon and Fannie Beene; her husband, Dwain S. Marlow; one brother, Kenneth Wayne Beene; and her loving companion, Donald D. Wilson.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the Floral Haven Family Center.The family has requested memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, 12620 E. 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146 or to a charity of one’s choice.
