A. George Solomon
I am sorry for your loss. Vivian, was such a great person, she will live on in our memories forever.
I came to America from the Biblical City of Nineveh 57 years ago to study at the University of Tulsa. A week later I met Jackson and Vivian Dean through another great family of Paul and Mildred Lichty. They were the first two families I met in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I remained very attached to them to this day. I have a fond memory of Jackson and Vivian when they visited me in San Francisco in 1975 for three days and three nights. They have left behind great children.
Here is the best way I could describe Vivian and her entire family with an old Arabian Proverb:
“A friend is one to whom one can pour out all the contents of one’s heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keeping what is worth keeping, and, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.”
