W. A Andrews' Obituary
W. A. (Al) Andrews passed away at his home September 7, 2009. He was born in Bucklin, Kansas on May 11, 1941, to William L and Mattie Withrow. The latter years of his youth were spent in Newton, Kansas where he graduated from high school. He was graduated from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in Dallas. He was career banker having worked at Union National Bank in Wichita, First National Bank in Oklahoma City, First National Bank in Colorado Springs, and Arvest Bank in Bartlesville. He was an avid hunter and an active member of Ducks Unlimited. Al was a sports enthusiast who coached several of his children’s teams throughout the years. His other passion was his hunting dogs for which he loved to watch work in the fields. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharon Andrews-Bowers. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son Wesley Andrews and wife Mitsi of Stillwater, OK, daughter Michelle Kennedy and husband Kurt Kennedy-Ose of Slidell, LA, daughter Heather Andrews of Olathe, KS, and son Adam Andrews of Frisco, TX. He is also survived by three grandchildren. A private family service is being held. He wished for any memorial donations to go to The National Boy Scouts of America, PO Box 152079, Irving, TX 75038.
