Walter "Wayne" Crampton's Obituary
Walter "Wayne" Crampton, 81 of Inola, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at his home in Inola. He was born August 4, 1938 in Pearson, Oklahoma to his mother, Cloy Faye Pruitt Crampton. He married the love of his life, Bobbie Crampton on August 20, 1968 and they shared in over 40 beautiful years before her passing in 2008.
Wayne served in the United States Army for 23 years with two tours in Vietnam. He then worked as a truck driver for oil and gas and then retired. After retirement he later went on to owning his own trucking business and then finally retiring for his final time. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge being sponsored by his father-in-law, Jerry Meyers.
Wayne is survived by five children, Mark Crampton of Germany, Connie Crampton of Germany, Paula Crampton of Oklahoma, Deb Andrews of Inola, Oklahoma and Christi Sullivan and her husband George of Houston, Texas; three Siblings, Charlie Thompson and his wife Sharon of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Anita Faye Flanagin and her husband Bob of Amarillo, Texas and Mary Jo Hillman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one son-in-law, Kenny Hanger of Catoosa, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cloy Thompson in 1995; his wife, Bobbie Crampton in 2008; his daughter, Susie Hanger in 2002; his sister, Gloria Jean DeGarmo in 2000 and his brother, Gary Thompson in 2018.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel.
