Walter Nichols' Obituary
Walter Allen Nichols, born on October 19, 1947, in Coalgate, OK, to Henry Nichols and Elsie May Jameson, passed away peacefully. Walter retired as a Navy Chief Petty Officer after 23 years of honorable and dedicated service. He was known for his kindness, humor, and devotion to family.
Walter enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and driving country roads. He loved watching game shows, including attending "The Price is Right," and old western movies. He was married to Priscilla Nichols, whom he wed in the Philippines; they shared 46 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Priscilla Nichols of Broken Arrow, OK; children Janice & Nicholas Heidingsfelder of Honolulu, HI, Henry Nichols of Coalgate, OK, Joy & Timothy Goldesberry of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren Cameron and Sam Nichols, Jillian and Chandler Heidingsfelder, and Shepard Goldesberry; sister Diana Willis of Chandler AZ, and sister-in-law Dovie Nichols of Coalgate, OK; along with many nieces and nephews.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents Henry Nichols and Elsie May Lane Jameson, as well as his brothers Buck, Sam, Bill, Johnny, and Joe Nichols, and sisters Jesse Ann Nichols, Marie Tuck, Mary Dority, and Evie Casey.
His ashes will be placed in the Bohannon Cemetery, in Hughes county.
No formal services will be held at this time, but a celebration of life will be announced soon. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
