Walter "Lee" Thornton, 65, was born in Houston, Texas on October 10, 1955 and passed on August 31, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife Deborah, his daughter Monica Thornton, sons Jason Thornton, and Wesley Thornton, his granddaughters, Kayla, Brianna, Madison, Octavia, Giselle, and Audrey (Devin) Turnball with son Jaydin, grandsons Tyler, Caden, Nathan, Peyton, Blazin, and Tristian- all in the Tulsa and surrounding areas. In Houston, Texas, his is survived by his sister-in-law Jana Boardman, mother Eleanore Green Thornton, sister Gwyn (Michael Sikes) Thornton Necessary, brothers Geary Thornton, William Thornton, Dean (Jennifer) Thornton, many cousins, nieces, and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his father Alfred Lee Thornton.
Lee worked in engineering designs and technology. He was a cornerstone in family, friends, neighbors, and work. His three children were his blessing and he felt blessed to be a part of their lives. He enjoyed spending his time learning new tech ideas, watching Sci Fi movies, woodworking and being a grandfather most of all. He was a jokester, loved quizzing his grandkids with engineering thoughts and helping with school projects. He was his wife's best friend; they were a team. His dream was to retire to spend more time with them, build his retirement home for all to enjoy.
