Walter G. Valentine, much loved husband, father and uncle, died at home on Memorial Day, May 30, 2005. “Walt” was born in Huntington, New York on July 6, 1918 and was a long time resident of Tulsa and Broken Arrow. He retired in 1980 from Cities Service/Oxy after 40 years of service.Funeral service was held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2005, First Presbyterian Church, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, with burial in the Veterans Field of Honor, Phase II, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walt’s memory to the Organ Restoration Fund, First Presbyterian Church, 111 S. Oak, Sapulpa, OK 74066.Survived By: by his loving wife of 62 years, Doris; daughters, Ruth “Val” Bode and Jayne Swift and her husband Derek; one granddaughter; 5 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
