Walton G. Thompson's Obituary
Walton Guy Thompson was born in Kansas City, Mo. On August 26, 1961.He left Oklahoma and arrived in heaven on September 11, 2018.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 30 years, Kim, his mother Dorothy Thompson, sisters Rebecca Pickens and Priscilla Thompson, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many more. He was reunited in heaven with his dad.Walt was a dedicated man of God. He was part of Kansas City Youth for Christ for years and was a licensed Baptist minister. He attended South West Baptist University as part of his calling into ministry and served on the board of R & R Miller Ministries for years. He served as a Children’s Director for most of his married life.He worked as a dedicated Walmart employee for 28 years and as a temporary worker 2 days a week at the local Pepsi bottling plant as a fork lift driver for over 12 years.He loved collecting model cars, Fenton top hats and boot shaped mugs. His passion was working on genealogical research of our two families. He loved eagles and his country, and he was a complete history buff. He was a very patriotic man.A celebration of life service will be held by Reverend Bob Miller at Spirit Life Church at 10 am on Friday, September 14, 2018.
