Wana Jean Manning's Obituary
Wana Jean Manning age 96 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma died on Thursday, February 24, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Porta Caeli Hospice House with her family present. She was born March 28, 1925, in Colbert, Oklahoma to James Hiram Grimes and Alice Myra Mayo Grimes. She worked as a bank counselor for Bank of America. Then after she retired, she worked for Wal-Mart as a greeter in Broken Arrow until 2018. She loved the job because she enjoyed meeting new people. She attended Clearview Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. Her passion and joy came from her relationship with the Lord. She was devoted to her family and her love was displayed not only in words but in her actions, character, and countenance. She will be missed but she will always have a special place in the hearts of each person who God put in her pathway of life!
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, James Hiram Grimes Jr. and Lonel Stanley Grimes; 2 sisters Mary Athaline Franks and Ina Bowden Grimes. Jean is survived by her 2 children; son, Mark Manning, and daughter and son-in-law Michelle & Charlie Bustamante both of Broken Arrow; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; Her brother and sister-in-law, George Leonard Grimes and Anita Grimes of Arlington, TX. and numerous other family members and friends.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 4, 2022, at 10:00 am in the chapel at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow. Interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
