Wanda Hollis' Obituary
Wanda Louise Hollis, 87, of Sand Springs, passed away December 13, 2018. She was born November 17, 1931 in Muskogee, OK to Thomas Lee and Ivan Bell Mayes.Wanda worked as a book keeper for McMichael Concrete until her retirement in 1988. Wanda loved to crochet. She crocheted for her church, her neighbors and family. She loved gardening, her flower beds were her pride and joy. She was very involved with her church. She taught Sunday school for over 70 years. She started at age 15 with little children and was still helping up until she got sick. Wanda loved kids! She never met a stranger.Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thermon Hollis; son Paul Steven Field; son Roy Wayne Field; daughter Ivy Kathleen Gonzales; brothers Vernon Mayes, Thomas Lee (T.L.) Mayes, Lester Ray Mayes, A.J. Mayes, Ernest William Mayes and Jack Mayes; sister Joy Lee Mayes; grandson Dakota Field.Wanda is survived by a loving family which includes her daughter Carolyn Williams (Joe) of Tulsa, OK; son Robert Field (Sue) of Kellyville, OK; son David Field (Debbie) of Sand Springs, OK; daughter Eva Isam (Benny) of Tulsa, OK; daughter Sherry Hemphill (Lloyd) of Broken Arrow, OK; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 1 great – great granddaughter; sister Linda Miller ( George) of Webber Falls, OK; brother Mack Mayes (Linda) of Mannford, OK; brother Dan Mayes of Oktaha, OK. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
