Wanda June Stewart's Obituary
Wanda June Stewart passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 95. She resided at Legend on Mingo Assisted Living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Homer and Ola Rash of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She attended the Okmulgee Public School System.
After WWII, Wanda married Jack Snider and had a son, Jack Dale Snider. After six years of marriage, they divorced.
Wanda had various secretarial jobs before meeting Don Stewart, who became her life partner. They Married on September 5, 1953, and remained married for 70 wonderful years.
As we look back on their years together, we find their lives filled with happiness, love, and adventure. Wanda remained a career working mother and wife and found her niche at the Public Service Company of Oklahoma. She gave 30 years of service to them.
Wanda and Don were active in many activities throughout their life together. They were members of the Tulsa Oil Capitol Motorcycle Club. They took many road trips and traveled many miles with the group. They were also active lifetime members of the VFW and the American Legion. They also found enjoyment as members of several square dance groups. Wanda and Don were very active with their special friends in the PSO Retires group. They had many good times going places and doing fun outings with this group a friendship that lasted many years.
Wanda sadly lost her husband to COVID-19 just 7 months ago. The loneliness she encountered was unbearable, but she has gone on to be with her husband….. the love of her life.
Wanda is survived by her son, Jack Snider, and his wife Tami of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; also two grandchildren, Jason Snider and his wife Chrissy, and their children, Waylon and Cal of Bend, Oregon. Also granddaughter, Jennifer Malloy and her husband, Carter, and their children, Anna Kate and Vivian of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Wanda is also Survived by a nephew, Kelly Rash, and Linda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Wanda will certainly be loved and missed by all… until we meet again.
The funeral service will be 12:30 PM, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
