Wanda O. Wofford's Obituary
Wanda O. Wofford passed away on Friday, August 8, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born on April 14, 1929, in Fort Smith, AR, to John and Elvira Heller. Wanda was married to Charles Wofford in 1947 and enjoyed over 61 years of marriage. Wanda and her family moved to Tulsa in 1962. Once in Tulsa she became a hairdresser and opened her own salon. Later, she was instrumental in developing a successful family business, Nu-Car Unloading Company. Wanda was a strong and free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest. She valued her friendships and those who spoke of her as their adopted Mother or Grandmother. Wanda enjoyed bridge, cooking, and travel. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, at Floral Haven Cemetery Chapel. Memorials may be made to the University of Tulsa.Survived By: She is survived by her husband, Charles Wofford, her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Patricia Wofford, and her brother, Charles T. Heller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.
