WaNeva Lou Taylor's Obituary
WaNeva Lou Taylor, affectionately known as Lou, peacefully passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on May 29, 1934, in Leedy, Oklahoma, she was the beloved daughter of the late Carl and Wanda Brown. Lou found her lifelong companion in Charles E Taylor, whom she married on September 5, 1953. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising five children over their 63 years of marriage until Charles's passing. Lou was a vibrant soul, known for her outgoing nature and ability to connect with everyone she met. In her earlier years, she lovingly cared for her children, even handcrafting their clothing. Later in life, she explored her passion for quilting and knitting. She and Charles raised goats and chickens and were actively involved in a Goat Association.
Family was paramount to Lou, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She especially enjoyed family reunions in Missouri and traveling adventures with her sister, Jennie. A talented cook, Lou was renowned for her homemade noodles and bread, always made with a touch of her love. Despite her efforts to pass down her recipes, there was always something special about her cooking that couldn't quite be replicated.
Lou's legacy lives on through her children, Rebecca Spencer (Ron), Nita Coffin (Randy), Diane Ryan (Pat), Margaret Townsend, and Carl Taylor (Stacey). She also leaves behind a vast family network, including 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Jennie Mangrum (Lowell), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
In her unwavering dedication to her family and the love she shared with all who knew her, Lou will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Her warmth, kindness, and culinary talents will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
