I had the pleasure of working with Warren for many years. I am in another state, so we always spoke over the phone. It was a joy to speak to him because he was always so happy, positive and full of laughter. I always hung up the phone with a smile on my face! He brought joy into this world and made it a better place. What better legacy could anyone hope to have!

I just learned of Warren's demise last night. I'm sorry I missed the funeral, and would have loved to see Lee again.I remember Warren ("Mr. Werling") fondly from the early 1960's at Ascension Lutheran Church, when his son, Lee, and I were in Sunday School and Confirmation Classes together. I moved away from Tulsa in 1966, but was fortunate to re-connect with Warren after I moved back and Warren served with me on the Trinity Ministries Estate Planning Board. I met Warren 20 years ago when I was the cohost of Good Morning Oklahoma on Channel 8 with my wife. Warren would come on every year to promote the Shrine Circus or he would arrange for me to go live from the circus location. Warren would arrange for everyone to be out there at 6am so my live shot would be filled with lots of fun people and animals to show. He went out of his way to be accommodating to our broadcast needs. Over the years I would run into Warren and he would always ask about my wife and kids. When I think of the Akdar Shrine Circus, I think of Warren for his warmth, generosity and friendship.
