It grieves us that we are unable to attend the memorial service of such a wonderful man of God. I have only fond memories of the many things we did together-West Coast Laymans Crusade, Training Conferences, Committees and various Church Training events. He was the first visitor to our home when we moved to Tulsa in April of 1957. We joined Sequoyah Hills because of his visit. He was a true friend and one that could be counted on for support. He will be sorely missed, but his love for people and the Lord will long be remembered. Our prayers are with the family during the loss of your loved one.Sincerely J.A & Geneva

My thoughts are with Beverly & John along with all of Dub's family. I was privileged enough to grow up in Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church which gave my the opportunity to call Dub a friend. I used to babysit for Christy and Chad as a teenager. Beverly & John allowed me to be a part of their family life. Leanna and I became friends as well. Watching Dub as I grew up showed me not only the love of God but how a christian should live, love his family, church and friends. Although it is sad to loose Dub we all know that he lived a very fulfilling life and that he is with his Lord.

Beverly & Kent, and all of the Barnes Family. I'm saddened to hear of your dad's passing. Such a great, caring man. He lived a long life and brought joy to many people. The obituary is wonderful. Beverly, I assume that you wrote it. I don't know if I can come to the funeral, but my thoughts are with you. Peace to you and yours.
