Wayne Hampton's Obituary
Wayne L. Hampton was born July 9, 1936, in Williamsport, PA to Ocie Mae and John Hampton. He died Nov. 7, 2010 in Tulsa, at the age of 74 years. He was raised and educated in Williamsport, PA. He served in the US Navy from 1955 to 1959 and saw the world while serving aboard the carrier USS Essex. He spent most of his working life as a proud aviation mechanic for American Airlines. He also participated as a Boy Scout volunteer for Owasso Troop 98 and assisted numerous times with various local and school baseball clubs. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, John Hampton, his brother John Hampton Jr. and his sister Dorothy Gardner. Wayne is survived by his mother, Ocie Mae Hampton, his wife Gail Hampton, sons Keith, Stephen, and Craig Hampton and his grandchildren Colton Brewer, Jaycee, Kenzee, and Bodee Hampton.
