Wayne Martin's Obituary
Wayne “Tater” Martin was born October 26th, 1925 in Tallapoosa, Missouri. He is the son of Frank Martin and Allie Belle Mims Martin. Wayne had lived in California, Seattle, Washington, Doniphan, Missouri, Columbus, Ohio and Tulsa, Oklahoma.Wayne served in the U.S. Army during World War II as an anti-aircraft gunner. After his discharge Wayne worked in several industries including the ship yards and farming. He retired in the 1970’s as a supply cataloger, civil servant of the U.S. Government.Wayne married Vivian Dixon September 24th 1944 and had six children. Wayne was proceeded in death by their daughter, Patricia , his wife Vivian, his sisters Fern Ward and Jewell Wilson, two brothers Glen Martin and Roy martin, two grandsons, Wayne W. Martin and Franklin J. Martin Jr.Wayne married Esther Rowe February 15th, 2006. He is survived by Esther, his wife of the home, A brother, Jerry D. Martin of Fairdealing, Missouri, two sisters, Esther Bates of Desloge, Missouri and Mary Bryant of Bertrand, Missouri, three sons, Wayne C. Martin of Emory, Texas, Joe Martin and Bill Martin, both of Broken Arrow, OK, two daughters, Peggy Hare of Orlando, Florida and Becky Waters of Lenior, North Carolina; a step daughter, Terri Rowe of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, four step sons Dwayne Rowe of Hannibal, Missouri, John Rowe of Belton, Missouri, Bill Rowe of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Charlie Rowe of Desloge, Missouri, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.Wayne enjoyed gardening, reading, attending church and visiting with his family.He will be sadly missed by his wife, his family, his church family and his many many friends.Funeral services will be Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Miracle Of Faith Church. 5131 South 193 East Ave. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
