Wesley Henry Overton's Obituary
Wesley Henry Overton, age 56, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed from this life on January 10, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to his parents, Lynn and Sally Overton, and from that day forward began a life that touched many with light, humor, and kindness.
Wesley was known for his unique sense of humor. He had a special way of making others feel comfortable and welcome, often brightening a room with a quick wit, a warm smile, or one of his legendary dad jokes. Those who knew him will remember his intelligence, curiosity, and love of learning, as well as his deep appreciation for reading and thoughtful conversation.
Above all, Wesley cherished his two beautiful daughters, Rachel and Alissa, whom he loved beyond measure. Being their father was one of the greatest joys of his life. He took pride in teaching them new things, making them laugh, and ensuring they always felt how deeply loved they were. Many cherished memories were made stargazing together, exploring astronomy, enjoying the outdoors, and sharing his sense of wonder about the world around them.
Wesley had a passion for travel and adventure, often drawn to occupations that allowed him to see new places and experience the beauty of the world. He especially loved the mountains, finding peace and inspiration in their quiet strength. At home, he found comfort in the companionship of his animals, particularly his beloved cat, Elvis.
Wesley’s presence, humor, heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on through his daughters, his family, and the many lives he touched with kindness, intelligence, and joy.
He is preceded in death by his mother Sally (Albin) Overton. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Rachel Overton and Alissa Overton; his father Lynn Overton; and many other family members and friends who will forever cherish their time together.
A memorial service for Wesley will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 10am at the Angus Acres Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
