Weson Mary Schorer's Obituary
Weson Mary Schorer was born December 20, 1944, in Taegu, South Korea. Weson passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life, Michael M. Schorer in June of 1966.. They had four children, Michael, Kim, Frederick and Patricia. Our Mom came from little with a huge heart. If anyone needed something, she was there. If anyone was hurt, she was there. A birthday never went forgotten, she remembered every single person!!Her biggest passion other than watching her grandkids was gardening, and if anyone knew her, you know what I am talking about. During the summer you had to find your way to the front door because of all the flowers. It wasn’t just flowers she loved, she loved her veggies too. Mom could spot them from the road going 60 mph, then pull over to pick it!! Her vegetable garden was always nicely kept and Dad always complained of that darn water bill. Half of her YouTube searches were of better gardening and the other half were of those darn Korean soap operas full of crying and screaming and fighting. In my opinion, besides her green thumb, everyone will remember her by her food. That woman could cook up a storm, and when she did, it was for an army whether there were 2 or 50 people coming. You would never leave empty handed either. My Mom was the busiest busy body every. She new everyone, and I mean everyone. I liked to call her “The Queen” of the “Korean Mafia”. She knew everyone from coast to coast. Every month she would take trips to TX to learn traditional songs, drums, dances and gayageum. Every Tuesday she went to tap. Every Wednesday she went to piano. Every Thursday she volunteered at the hospital. The woman could not sit still. Oh did I forget to mention the Red Hats?!Awesome job Mom, you lived a fantastic life and you will always be remembered by so many. We will miss your sweet insults and great conversations. While Weson plays her drums and sings her songs for God, she will be missed by many.A visitation/Rosary will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 12, 2018, at Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 1304 N.
