Whittney Michelle Hardbarger's Obituary
Whittney Michelle Hardbarger, age 35, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2026, in Tulsa, surrounded by the love of her family.
Whittney was born on September 23rd, 1990, and from day 1, was determined to fight. Her life was harder than most and she endured things that she shouldn’t have had to, but because she was determined, she overcame obstacles that most people didn’t know about and kept on marching. Her laughter—easy and sincere—was a gift to everyone who knew her. Whittney was bound to a wheelchair her whole life but still found a way to enjoy life as much as she could. Her family knows now that she is in Heaven walking, running and bossing everyone around there.
She was deeply loved by her whole family and friends and found joy in the small things: iced coffee, time alone on her tablet, long long walks, her favorite TV shows, outings to the movies and different restaurants and most of all, shopping. Whittney was a presence that no one could ignore and to know her, was to naturally love her. She left a lasting impression on the hearts of many.
Whittney is survived by her parents Shirley Hardbarger and Terry Hennessee, siblings Christopher Hardbarger, Roger Hardbarger and twin sister Brittany Hardbarger. She had nieces, nephews, even a great niece, at least 11 first cousins alone and countless 2nd and 3rd cousins, an aunt, and an uncle. as well as extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her 3 uncles, 3 aunts, and grandmother and grandfather.
A celebration of Whittney’s life will be held on January 22nd, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at the Floral Haven Chapel in Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to assist in the expenses of giving her a resting place as beautiful as she was.
Though her time here was far too short, Whittney’s presence made the world gentler and brighter. Loving and caring for her is what brought her family closer together. We are lost without her, but she will be remembered always, and her love will continue to live on in those who were honored to know her.
