Wilbur David Sailsbury's Obituary
David Sailsbury entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 17th. David was born July 24, 1946 in Parsons, Kansas to Wilbur H. and Georgia Sailsbury. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Louise. David graduated Butler High School in 1965, Labette Community Junior College in 1967 and attended Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. David served 10 years in the Army National Guard Reserves. He married Linda Andrews on November 29, 1968. She survives of the home. Other survivors include son, Brad Sailsbury, his wife, April Sailsbury, daughter Shannan Ragsdale and fiancé, Chad Hurst. He is also survived by one grandson, Dax Sailsbury and two granddaughters, Olivia Sailsbury & Hallie Ragsdale. David is additionally survived by 2 brothers; Tim and Lee, 3 sisters; Wilmetta Alderman, Diane Pattinson and Debbie Burke and many beloved nieces & nephews. Since his retirement in 2009 from Ramsey Winch, David has enjoyed spending time at Oil Capital Gun Club and volunteering with his church family at Arrow Heights Baptist Church. His favorite thing was to spend time with his grandchildren, watching their activities, building projects with them, planting his garden with them and watching them play. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Services are Wednesday, April 20th at Arrow Heights Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Viewing is at Floral Haven on Tuesday, April 19th from 4-9p, the family will be present to greet guests from 6-9p. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Arrow Heights Baptist Church, in memory of David Sailsbury. All donations will be given to the mens prayer group to further the mission work they do in the community, something David was passionate about.
