Wiley Joe Kinney's Obituary
Wiley Joe Kinney of Tulsa, OK, formerly of Tempe, AZ passed away on January 6th, 2019. He was with his family at the time in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joe lived with his son, David Kinney in Tulsa, OK at the time of his death. Joe was an over the road truck driver most of his adult life. He also served in the Navy as a torpedo loader, a Police Officer for Bessemer, Alabama, and a bus driver. Joe received his Associates degree from Jeff State College and attended Tarrant City High School. Joe enjoyed golf, fishing, bird hunting, and loved his candy. Joe was born May 12th, 1938 in Talmo, Georgia to Estelle and Virgil Kinney. Joe was preceded in death by his mother and father, Estelle Varnon and Virgil Kinney, daughter Anita Raelene Kinney, brother Billy Kinney, and sister Virginia Mann. Joe is survived by Dean Kinney, sons David Kinney and Lane Kinney, grandchildren Kellie Henderson, David Kinney Jr, Tylor Kinney, Ashley Kinney, and Nicole Kinney, great grandchildren Lilah Deering, Riley Kinney, Griffin Kinney, and Kayla Kinney, sister Betty-Sue Guthrie, and many more friends and relatives. A celebration of life service celebrating Joe’s life will be conducted by Jake Follis on January 10th at 3:00pm at Floral Haven Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. Directly after the service, the family invites you to join them for a reception where food will be served. Joe will receive full honors from the Navy during the service.
