Willadean Fenimore's Obituary
Willadene Marie Fenimore, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and faithful follower of Christ, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born on October 29, 1935, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Willadene was the daughter of Earl B. Clark and Opal Marie Huggins Clark. Her father passed away tragically in an automobile accident when she was very young. She was later raised by her mother and stepfather, William “Bill” Dorff.
In April of 1951, she met the love of her life, Burton Smith Fenimore. Their courtship was swift and certain engaged by Christmas of that year and married on January 11, 1952, in Wheeling Island, WV. They shared an extraordinary 73 years of marriage, marked by unwavering devotion and deep love.
Willadene graduated from Wheeling High School and later from Victory Bible Institute. A woman of many talents and deep faith, she worked as a successful real estate agent with both John Hausam Realtors and Keller Williams in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was an active member of her church community throughout her life—first at Victory Christian Center, where she served faithfully as an usher, led Bible Fellowship groups, and helped launch numerous cell groups, earning a trip to Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho’s church in Seoul, South Korea. She loved sports of all kinds, especially bowling—and in her later years learned to play the piano. She was always up for a card game with her grandkids, and after defeating cancer, she triumphantly ran a 5K in the Race for Victory. Her energy, joy, and perseverance were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Willadene was preceded in death by her father, Earl B. Clark; her mother, Opal Marie Huggins Clark Dorff; her stepfather, William “Bill” Dorff; her brother, Bernard Eugene Clark; niece, Denise Clark; and nephew, Jeffrey Robert Keedy.
