Willard "Bill" Lee Gaylor's Obituary
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Willard Lee Gaylor, went to the arms of our Heavenly Father on January 25, 2017. Whether you knew him as “Bill”, “Lee”, “Sugar”, “Dad”, “Bopa”, or “Grandpa”, his life was well lived and filled with love. Bill was born in Skiatook, Oklahoma on March 27, 1924. He was the oldest of four children born to George and Jessie Gaylor. Bill was proud to have been an Eagle Scout and even prouder to have served in the United States Army during WWII. During his time in the Army, he was a gunner on the “IIe De France” troop carrier. After his service in the Army, he returned to Skiatook, Oklahoma and began working at American Airlines. It was there that he met his wife, Darline. They were happily married for 54 years. When Bill retired from American Airlines, he worked there for 37 years. The family and friends that Bill leaves behind will miss his gentle and loving spirit. He was always so proud of us and made sure we not only knew it, but felt it. He gave us the gift of his unconditional love. In lieu of flowers the family has requested, donations be made to “Folds of Honor” in Willard Lee Gaylor’s name. https://www.foldsofhonor.org/donate/ There will be a graveside service 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 30, 2017 at Floral Haven Cemetery in the Garden of Last Supper
