Bill Ammons' Obituary
William Banton Ammons, 88, was born on June 29, 1933 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Sam Ammons and Iola Matthews Ammons. Bill passed at his home on December 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill worked in construction and started his own successful concrete business. Even though he worked hard, he also knew how to have a good time. He loved spending time outdoors and could often be found either out on the lake fishing or grilling for friends and family. Bill also enjoyed dancing and trips to the casino.
Bill married Ruth Ammons, and together they had eleven children: Deborah Dobson, Denise Nelson, Leslie Ammons, William Ammons, John Ammons, Mark Ammons, Janet Ammons, Danny Ammons, Timothy Ammons, Andrew Ammons, and James Ammons.
On April 19, 1984, Bill and Sue Ann Phillips married and his clan grew by four more with her children Kim Johnson, Doug Hale, Brandy Spears, and Charrie Moon.
Family was the most important thing to Bill. He lit up any time the kids came to visit.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons John, Mark, and Andrew; and daughter Denise.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Sue; his children Deborah, Leslie, William, Janet, Danny, Timothy, James, Kim, Doug, Brandy, and Charrie; 38 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchildren along the way.
