William "Bill" Thomas Burkes
Bill Burkes, 78, passed away June 7, 2022, with his wife and children at his side. Bill was born June 3, 1944, in Oklahoma City to William L. and Eunice P. Burkes (Marrs).
Bill spent the majority of his childhood in Tulsa, OK where he graduated from Central High School. He furthered his education, graduating from Oklahoma State University and continued onto Texas A&M, where he received a master's degree in Architectural Engineering.
Bill retired from the United States Postal Service after 36 years of service. He then worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts, retiring after 14 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jacki, son Brenden Burkes and daughters Marisa Burkes, her significant other Travis, and Michelle (Jake) Wilder. Grandchildren Reagan, Tiffany, Cameron, Brody and Bayn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Bixby, OK with Pastor Larry DeLay officiating. Services are under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home.
