William Franklin Castell's Obituary
William Franklin Castell, 88, of Tulsa, passed away October 28, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born February 18, 1933, in Oklahoma City to John and Dora Castell. He was a longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School teacher and usher. He was co-owner of Southside TV and then worked 17 years at Sears during his retirement. He was an Army veteran, enjoyed grilling steaks and hamburgers for his family and woodworking. William was preceded in death by his parents; and 5 brothers. William is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances of the home; son Larry Castell and Irene of Tulsa, OK; daughters Carol Stewart and Marshall of Tulsa, OK, Trish Hester and Keith of Clovis, CA; 8 grandchildren Sarah Waterhouse, Daniel Castell, Timothy Castell, Thomas Castell, Carissa Stewart, Ben Hester, Andrew Hester, and Rebecca Stone; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother Paul Castell of Dallas, TX. A funeral service to celebrate William’s life will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Eastwood Baptist Church with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
