Services for Wm. A. (Bill) Chilton, 75, lately of Tyler, Tx were held Monday, Aug 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. Mr. Chilton passed away at home on July 28, 2005. He was born July 27, 1930 in Tulsa, OK. to the late Zimri and Molly Mae Chilton and lived most of his life in Tulsa. A graduate of Holy Family High School he served in the 125th Oklahoma Air National Guard during the Korean Conflict. Returned to Tulsa and was employed by Skelly Oil Company until his retirement in March of 1986 after 37 years, as Manager of Lease Records. An avid fisherman, he was predeceased by his parents, brother Winston Churchill Chilton, and nephew Lloyd Gill, Jr. Pallbearers are Mark Bruce, Matthew Bruce, Ken Fair, Daniel Fair, Randall Gill and Lloyd Gill, III. Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Fair, Christopher Chilton and Nathan Chilton. Family received friends from 10:00 a.m to 9 p.m. July 31st at the funeral home. Donations can be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, TX 75701.Survived By: Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Gloria Jean Chilton of Tyler, TX; Sister, Gwen A. Gill of Tulsa, OK. Brother, Maurice Chilton of Prairie Grove, AR. Children, Christine Chilton of Tulsa, OK; Sharon and Gene Bruce of Troup, TX; Keith and Donna Chilton of Fulton, NY; Roxie and Mark Pless of Tyler, TX.; Gail Fair of Broken Arrow, OK; Joseph A Chilton of Waco, TX. Eight Grandchildren: Mark J. Bruce, Round Rock, TX; Matthew J. Bruce, Waco, TX; Christopher Chilton, Haines City, FL; Nathan Chilton, Fulton, NY; Amanda Henderson, Paris, TX; Rachael Morgan, Naples, Italy; Patrick Fair, Broken Arrow, OK; Daniel Fair of Broken Arrow, OK and two great grandchildren, Aaron Pless Knight of Tyler, TX and Sierra N. Henderson of Paris, TX. and numerous nephews and nieces.
