William "Bill" Leroy Bickell's Obituary
Born August 23rd 1948 in Claremore, OK to J.P. Leroy and Maxine (Turner) Bickell. Bill was raised in Claremore where he received his education and graduated from Claremore High School in 1966. He entered the Army at age 18 serving in the Vietnam War as an Army Airborne Ranger, 75th Infantry Btn. Papa Co.. Upon returning home in 1971 after serving his country, he attended college at Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore and Tulsa University. He moved to Tulsa where he was employed as Dispatcher/supervisor at Hale Hasell for 35 years. Retirement came after throat cancer took his voice. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and playing board games with close friends. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joyce. Daughter Alicia Banuelos and husband Miguel of Tulsa. Son Corey Bickell and wife Toni of Tulsa. Son Jeff Brown and wife of Kris of Springfield MO. One Sister Marie Jackson and husband J.D of Bartlesville. Three brothers Wayne Bickell and wife Beverly of Columbus, IN, Keving Bickell and wife Sheri of Sequoia, and Matt Bickell of Tulsa. Twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Tim Lollis, Roy Hancock, Ron Paris, Bob Brashers, Tony Cloud, Bobby McCollum, and John Messimore.
