William Allen Saunders' Obituary
William “Allen” Saunders age 58, left this World on May 19, 2012 to be present at a family reunion in Heaven. Allen was born December 1, 1953 in Garnett Kansas, to William Winston “Sandy” Saunders & Martha Joy (Carter) Saunders. He married the love of his life Katherine Ann Baker In Eureka Springs, Arkansas and they made their home in Broken Arrow, OK. Allen is a graduate of Nathan Hale High School, Tulsa, OK., Class of 1972. He went on to attend O.U., and O.S.U. Okmulgee and pursued a career in Electrical Engineering. Allen was presently employed by Colburn Electric as an Electrical Project Manager/estimator. Allen was preceded in Death by his Father, William Winston Saunders, and 1 son, Brandon Glen Lafarlette. He is survived by his loving wife, Katherine, 2 daughters, Ashley Lynn Saunders of Tulsa & Allyson Joy Saunders, of Tulsa, OK. Mother “Joy” Saunders, of Tulsa, Son, Joshua Lafarlette and his wife, Randi of Broken Arrow, Son Jacob Saunders, Sister, Carol (Saunders) Young and husband James, of Oklahoma City, OK. 7 Grandchildren of the Tulsa Area, along with a host of friends and family and two of his most prized loves, Corky Sue & Stetson 5, his beloved 4 legged buddies. Allen had a love for music, to the point his handle was “Music Man”, he enjoyed his electronic toys, fast cars, motorcycles, guns & war memorabilia. If Allen wasn’t out riding his bike with friends you could find him home with Corky Sue & Stetson 5 by his side while listening to his favorite tunes and playing with his computers. Allen had a special place in his heart for our Country and the men who served. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 24, 2012 under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 South 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, OK. with Internment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery. For the friends and family that prefer to make donations to a favorite charity, Allen held high regard for “The Wounded Warrior Program”
