William "Wild Bill" Taylor's Obituary
William Stanley Taylor, 77, of Tulsa, OK passed from this life on January 25, 2023. William was born to Henry Taylor and Dorothy (Hodge) Taylor on October 1, 1945, in Shreveport, LA.
Born in Shreveport, LA, he grew up fishing the bayou in the backyard, working at his Dad's filling station, driving cool fast cars. He went to LSU for a short period of time and he served in the Air Force at Barksdale AFB. After moving to Tulsa, OK. he started working at John Zink as a welder in 1977 and later retired in 2010 as their Senior Designer for the Burner Department. In 1999, he had the chance to go Israel, he was able to see things from the Bible and was thrilled to be baptized in the Jordan River. A few years ago he was able to go to Alaska with his sister and friends... he always wanted to go back with Barre for an amazing boys fishing trip. He liked riding his Harley in the Toy Run, taking kids fishing at the Oklahoma Firefighters Burn Camp and he helped friends and family in many ways throughout his life. He enjoyed wood working, photography, hunting, fishing, trapping, working on cars, driving fast cars, and food. He really liked him some food. After he retired he bought some land to add the title Farmer to his repertoire and to enjoy his final days doing the things he loved.
William is survived by his daughter Rachel Taylor, son Sean Taylor, sister Deborah Benge, granddaughter Frankie Taylor, nephews Brett Benge, Darin Bell and a host of friends and loved ones.
William is preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Juanita Taylor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
