William Palmer Wagner's Obituary
In Loving Memory of William Palmer Wagner
William Palmer Wagner, 75, of Bixby, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on May 16, 2025. Born on February 24, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Richard A. Wagner and Mary Anne (Palmer) Wagner, William lived a life full of laughter, friendship, and warmth.
Known for his boundless sense of humor and goofy nature, William had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. He was always laughing, always smiling, and always eager to make others feel welcome and valued. A true people’s person, he never met a stranger and was cherished for his kindness and infectious energy.
Beyond his magnetic personality, William had a deep love for classic cars and the peaceful allure of fishing, especially from boats. He found solace in the gentle rocking of the waves and the thrill of the catch, always eager to share his passion with family and friends.
As a shoe salesman by trade, William had a knack for connecting with people, a gift that led him to the love of his life, Melanie Sue (Cathey) Wagner. Their union was built on love, laughter, and the simple joys of companionship, a love that endured through the years.
William is survived by his devoted wife, Melanie Sue (Cathey) Wagner; his beloved children, Michael Wagner and wife Ashley Baker, and Catherine Wagner; his cherished grandchild, Avery Wagner; his siblings, Richard A. Wagner and wife Kathy, and Anne Artunoff; his brother-in-law, Timothy Cathey Sr; and his best friend, David Williamson and wife Ginger. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
His spirit, laughter, and warmth will be dearly missed but never forgotten. William’s legacy lives on in the stories, smiles, and love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
