William Paul Wood's Obituary
William Paul Wood, 93, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, in Tulsa, OK. He was born on May 13, 1930, in Muskogee, OK, to William Hardy and Grace Pearl (Cuttingham) Wood. He graduated from Muskogee High School and attended Northeastern State University.
He worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 30 years, starting as a sales representative in 1957 and retiring as vice president of marketing in 1987. He was an avid golfer and traveler and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Paula Wood; his children, Karen Salas, Kathy Nimerick, Gary Million, and Keith Million; his grandchildren, Keli Dannenberg, Susan Simmons, Beau Million, Chelsea Williams, Austin Cagle, and Kylee Million; his nine great-grandchildren; his niece, Gracie Cook; his nephew, Jimmy Haigler. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James Haigler.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the family receiving guests from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 10, 2023, at South Broken Arrow Baptist Church. 7815 S Elm Pl, Broken Arrow, OK 74011. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of St Paul.
