We salute & honor Freddie‘s life & legacy!
We embrace her life & will continue her service of sacrifice for the greater good of this world.
On our visit in February she was so excited to share her stories of her life growing up in the Cherokee Nation as a descendant of The Trail of Tears. The walls in her room at the Baptist village were filled with treasures that hugged her with memories of her family, accomplishments, travels & Native American heritage.
She was still wearing her cowgirl boots everyday & they were next to her bed. She was a regular attendee at the All Veterans meetings where she always contributed stories of her service. Henry Bodden & his wife always made sure she got to the meetings & she told us how she loved them for their friendship.
She was interviewed for Voices of Oklahoma by a John Earling on March 1st. John wrote in email after the interview that she was a strong 100 year old with a great memory.
If you are a veteran that has not documented your story Freddie would encourage you to do so.
Our country will forever exist as free because of the service & sacrifice of veterans. Especially veterans like Winifred Dudley!

My sweetest memories of Freddie was the year she and I worked in Vacation School together. Her VBS shirt was way too big and when she came in next day it was the perfect
size! She could do anything. We both loved
teaching the children. When we last talked
about a year ago she was so cheerful & we talked about our friendship, favorite preacher on radio, & Jesus. I wanted to talk to her again here, but I am happy that she is with Jesus!!! I pray God’s comfort for her
loved ones .

She blessed me many times by cheering me up & kept me laughing. She always had time to talk to me, later after she retired I would see her at the VA as a patient she always remembered who I was. God Love her.

We were blessed to have Freddie as a member of OK Women Veterans. She was a real treasure to the nation. We were honored to celebrate her 100th birthday milestone with her last July. She will be remembered very fondly.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Winifred's smile is the greatest smile on earth. She always makes me feel like I'm her best friend. She lights up the room. When I call, we talk for hours about long walks; her being a Army WAC in Texas; and of course her favorite subject JESUS. I call her Winifred because of my respect for her, and my love of her beautiful name. I talk about her in the present tense because I remember the Bible verse, " lo I am with you always to the end of the world." I pray that the LORD gives me just a tenth of the joy and enthusiasm Winifred has.

Freddie will be truly missed! Her presence on our campus was known campus wide. What an honor it was to know her and see her express her commitment and dedication to our country and her daily mission to share the gospel to others. What a beautiful soul!
