Winnie Mae Rich's Obituary
Winnie Mae Rich was born on September 9, 1937 in Stilwell, OK to Benjamin Leroy 'Roy' and Mary Ellen (Center) Davis. Winnie passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 73. She was a woman of great faith in God, and believed the way she lived her life was the greatest gift she could leave for her family and friends. Education was of deep-rooted importance to her, and she finished her B.S. degree at Westmar College, LeMars, IA in 1969. She retired from her position as administrative assistant at the USPS in Tulsa in 1999. She attended Ridge Crest Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK for numerous years; she enjoyed sharing her quilting, canning, and cooking talents with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Troy Gratz Rich, by both of her parents, and by in-laws, Harvey Benjamin and Della Jane (Smith) Rich. She is survived by her son and 2 daughters and their spouses, Troy 'Dale' Rich and Deb (Corbin) Rich of Tulsa, OK, Brenda Laraine Rich-Pike and Donald G. Pike of Pomfret Center, CT, and Beverly Mae (Rich) Marino and Louis Marino of Bakersfield, CA; her brother Edward Leroy Davis and wife Janice (Fuller) Davis of Checotah, OK; her sisters Ruby Novella (Davis) Stephenson and Cathy Ellen (Davis) Richey both of Tulsa, OK; her 7 grandchildren Davilyn Renee Rich, Chad William 'Buck' Rich, Bradley Troy Pike, Emily Wynn 'Emmy' Pike, Gregory Donald Pike, Richard Paul Kemp III, and Philip Sean Kemp;, her husband’s family, nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at Ridge Crest Baptist Church, followed by a luncheon; viewing is available from noon to 2 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home, and a graveside service will commence at 2:30 p.m at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Ridge Crest Baptist Church.
