Wayne was my spiritual father and Winnie kept both of us in line. I cannot express how much both of them mean to me and I am missing them greatly. But I know that it won't be long until we are all together again. If any of the family or friends of Wayne and Winnie want to make contact with me, I would certainly love that. Dear Laurie Lee, Robin, Travis, Sandy and families,We share in the loss of your mother and grandmother. Winnie was a good friend to us in our years in Mexico especially during the time we lived only a block away from each other in Guadalajara.Our girls loved to read and that made an immediate bond with your mother.We shared many prayer times together when the missionaries met to pray each Monday afternoon.She was justly proud and thankful for each one of you.We visited your parents several times when our children were attending Hardin-Simmons University. Dear Robin, Paul, other children, grands, great-grands, and other family,We shall always remember Winnie as a woman with many God-given talents. She loved people and was always interested in their needs. She was an avid communicator, drawing on her training in journalism. This enabled her to be a natural correspondent for the Mexico Mission family, and she generously spent much of her time keeping the rest of us up-to-date on the whereabouts of the Missions many members–not just adults but children and successive generation members. Then, there were her library skills; her hand prints are left in Guadalajara and everywhere else she lived and served. As a seminary teacher, speaker, and hostess to many, many med-students she's also remembered.Rev. 14:13; Ps. 116:15; Deut. 33:27a. Our prayers are with you all. Love, Uncle Julian and Aunt Charlotte
