Wynelle W. Stephens' Obituary
Wynelle W. Stephens, age 79, entered into eternity on October 9, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Wynelle was born on September 19, 1936 in Cuthbert, Georgia to her parents Beryl M. Woolbright Sr. and Nellie P. Woolbright. She received her general education from Seacrest High School. After her graduation, she began working as a Telephone Operator at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Wynelle married Frankie Joe “Steve” Stephens on May 27, 1955 at First Baptist Church in Florida after which she became a domestic engineer. Wynelle cherished her family and the time she got to spend with them. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, both on TV and at the race tracks, where she camped out with her sisters in the RV. Wynelle also enjoyed playing Bingo, vacationing on Cruise Ships, and spending time in her kitchen cooking. She was famous for her delicious pies! Wynelle served many years as a Girl Scout leader and on the Parents and Teachers Organization board. Wynelle is preceded in passing by her parents and loving husband, her brothers, Beryl “Bub” Woolbright Jr., Tom Woolbright , and her sister, Virginia Roman. She is survived by her sisters, Patsy Franklin, Janet Mills, Marie Woolbright, daughter Donna Sue Taylor and her husband, Bob Taylor, her son Joel Stephens and his wife, Lynn Stephens, her grandchildren, Michelle Goldesberry and her husband, Raymond Goldesbery, Christopher Mackey and his wife, Ginger Mackey, Jacob Mackey and his wife, Piña Mackey, Sarah Gamblian and her husband, Patrick Gamblian, Eric Stephens, Amanda Stephens, Bryan Stephens, her great grandchildren, Faith Goldesbery, Kaitlyn Goldesbery, Tekoa Mackey, Isabella Mackey, Olivia Mackey, Kennedy Gamblian, Bryson Mackey, and numerous family and friends. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 12:30 pm in the Veterans Field of Honor of Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
