Childers, Yolanda L., 84, passed away on March 25, 2010 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Yolanda was born on July 24, 1925 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Wiliam Barton and Lillie Frances (Teague) Chadwell. On September 25, 1945 Yolanda married Ernest Childers, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. Yolanda was the generous mother of Donna, Elaine and Ernest Sherman. She enjoyed world traveling, visiting four continents over the past 60 years. She was fortunate to have met many dignitaries throughout her life with Ernest. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, and two brothers, Lavelle Winfield Chadwell and Melvin Cletus Chadwell. She is survived by her children, sisters-in-law, nieces, grand nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved by her family. Funeral Services will be held 12:30 PM Monday, March 29, 2010 in Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. 252-2518Survived By: her children, sisters-in-law, nieces, grand nieces and nephews.
